Workshop on IOS app development offered in Nevada City

Submitted by Rachel Rosen-Carroll

Computer software consultant and owner of Eidria, Inc. Dan Galbraith will lead a workshop on app development from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at the Nevada County Tech Hub, 104 New Mohawk Rd. in Nevada City. The workshop is geared for those who are interested in app development or those who wish to launch their own apps. Galbraith will also offer tips on how to navigate the Apple store — including set up, testing, privacy policy and launching. He’ll also discuss some tools of the trade, explain why Unity3D should be avoided and help app developers with ADA compliance in app design as a feature, not a burden, and how one can make a better product while avoiding legal issues.

Galbraith has been a software engineer since 1991, and was a programmer and analyst for Apple from 1988 to 1992. He is just about to launch an app for Calparks that helps visitors connect with trails and historical sites.
