Woman injured in crash

A woman suffered minor injuries in a crash on the Colfax Highway near the Peardale Market Wednesday when a man driving a pickup truck apparently cut her off, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The call for help came at 10:16 a.m., according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Linda Sierra, 46, of Grass Valley was traveling southbound when Michael Donovan, 52, of Grass Valley, driving in the opposite direction, slowed down and started to make a left turn in front of her, CHP spokesman Troy Marks said.

Sierra was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released, according to a nursing supervisor.

The accident remains under investigation, Marks said.
