Woman charged with stabbing ex-boyfriend

A transient is facing assault charges after allegedly stabbing her ex-boyfriend in North San Juan last week.

Amber DeMarco, 22, was arrested after she was spotted on her ex-boyfriend’s property from a helicopter, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

The stabbing occurred Thursday at about 12:30 p.m., Sheriff’s Sgt. Frank Koehler said. Deputies responded at 12:37 p.m. to a residence on the 15300 block of Cliff Road, and briefly spoke with Luke Langskov, who was being treated by North San Juan firefighters for a single stab wound to his left chest, Koehler said.

Langskov, 22, said DeMarco had shown up unannounced at his cabin, and the two got into an argument. He said that after he ordered her to leave, she stabbed him once with a pocket knife.

Langskov was flown to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he was in good condition Sunday.

DeMarco was spotted on Langskov’s property by a California Highway Patrol helicopter and was arrested without incident on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
