Wildlife presentation at Nevada City library

“The Endangered Species Act: Defending Our Last Safety Net,” presented by Saerom Park with Defenders of Wildlife, takes place Tuesday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Madelyn Helling County Library in Nevada City.

Event organizers say attendees can find out what the Endangered Species Act has accomplished, what is happening with the act in Congress, and what residents can do to help leave behind a legacy of protecting endangered species and their habitats.

The presentation is sponsored by the Sierra Foothill Audubon Society, the Sierra Nevada Group of the Sierra Club, and the Redbud Chapter of the California Native Plant Society
