What’s closed Columbus Day 2015?

Nevada County offices, along with those of Grass Valley and Nevada City, will be closed on Monday, Columbus Day.

Additionally, the Nevada County Courthouse will close in observance of Columbus Day, as will U.S. post offices.

Trash collection, however, will occur as normal for residents of both cities and the unincorporated county, officials said.

The state Department of Motor Vehicles will open as normal on Monday. It can be reached at 1-800-777-0133 or online at http://www.dmv.ca.gov.

All government offices will be open Tuesday.
