What it is like being under the influence?

Children dribbled up to the free throw line Sunday at Union Hill School to take a shot at sinking a free throw while feeling what it’s like to be under the influence.

The Grass Valley Elks Lodge sponsored a “FatalVision ShootOut” to tangibly demonstrate the impairment caused by drugs or alcohol. By donning a set of goggles that cause the player to feel “impaired,” each player took his or her best shot while friends stood by watching just how “impaired” the shooter seemed to be.
