Well-deserved lunch on the house

San Luis Obispo area firefighters who are helping to battle the Lowell Fire in Nevada and Placer counties, take a break from duty Wednesday at Pine Street Burgers off Dorsey Drive in Grass Valley. According to Christine Barnes, customers inside the restaurant broke out in applause when the six firefighters walked in. And, Barnes said, when customers tried to pick up the cost of the firefighters’ lunch, Pine Street Burgers employees said they were covering the bill.
