Wedding: Beahm/Young

Alyson Beahm and David Young were married at the home of Joan Beahm in Granite Bay, the grandmother of the bride. A long-time friend and classmate from Bear River High School, Max Boehlke, officiated.

The reception was held at the home of the groom’s Nana.

85 people were in attendance.

Attendants were the bride’s sister, Andrea Beahm of Minneapolis, Minn., and the groom’s brother, Ian Young of Las Vegas, Nev.

Molly Melanephy, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

The wedding was catered by Emily’s Catering of Nevada City. Music was provided by Happy Feet. Kris Holland Photography of Nevada City captured the day.

The bride is the daughter of Dusty and Nancy Beahm of Grass Valley.

She graduated from Bear River High School in 1998 and UC Davis in 2003. She served in the Peace Corps in Paraguay, South America, from 2004 to 2005, and works as an elementary school teacher in Eugene, Ore.

The groom is the son of Tony Young of Westwood, Calif., and Meg Young of Grass Valley.

He graduated from Bear River High School in 1999 and UC Davis in 2004. He is in the chemistry doctoral program at the University of Oregon, Eugene.

They reside in Eugene, Ore.
