Victim of fatal crash near Beale identified

The coroner’s office released the identity of the man who died in a Friday afternoon crash near Beale Air Force Base.

Miguel Angel Toche-Chora, 37, of Olivehurst was identified by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department, which also serves as the coroner’s office.

Toche-Chora was driving west on Hammonton-Smartsville Road about 3 miles from Highway 20 when the vehicle drifted off the road at about 4:30 p.m. and struck a boulder. The vehicle caught fire.



Details of the collision were provided by the California Highway Patrol Friday.
