(UPDATED) Authorities: Missing teen found

A 15-year-old boy missing since Monday has been found, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office said

Joseph, who fled a local group home, was discovered Tuesday in Roseville. He appears unharmed, officials said.

The teen was last seen about noon Monday, two miles south of the 2400 block of Highway 49, Lt. Steve Tripp said.

“The difficulty with runaways is they don’t want to be found,” Tripp added.

Deputies, as well as search dogs and a California Highway Patrol helicopter, searched for the teen.

According to Tripp, Joseph fled the group home over issues with cleaning his room.
