Unity drumming service is BYOD

Unity in the Gold Country will be host to a drumming service Friday at 7 p.m. at the Unity Spiritual Learning Center, 333 Crown Point Circle, Suite 215, Grass Valley. Everyone is invited to come with a favorite drum.

At the 10:30 Sunday service, the Rev. Joe Sloan’s lesson will be “Escape to Emmaus,” referring to Christ’s encounter with two disciples after the crucifixion and how we tend to try to escape God’s gift of revelation. Following the service, there will be a silent auction at the learning center to benefit the youth camp program. Refreshments will be available.

Tai chi is offered on Tuesdays, a healing service on Wednesdays, and a “Course in Miracles” on Thursdays, all at 7 p.m. in the learning center.

Unity in the Gold Country meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Crown Point Hall, 336 Crown Point Circle, off Whispering Pines Road.

For further information, call 274-2463. The prayer line is 274-2486.
