Trust fund set up for crash victim’s family

A trust fund has been set up for the children of a Lake of the Pines woman who was killed Friday when the sport utility vehicle she was driving missed a turn and rolled over in the gated community.

Julia Marguerite Risdal, 39, was driving her 1996 Jeep Cherokee on Torrey Pines Drive, north of Oro Valley Road, at 11:57 p.m. The vehicle went off the road and overturned into a ditch, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Risdal, a Bay Area native, moved to Nevada County in 1994 and worked as a bridal designer and at several floral shops. She and her husband, Ryan Risdal, have four children.

The trust fund is located at the El Dorado Savings Bank, at 10612 Combie Road, Auburn 95602.
