Test your knowledge of Nevada County history

HO!, HO!, HO! our TIMELINES guy came up with another almost stumper in the rebuilding of Ott’s Assay Office. Some years back, both Ott’s and the South Yuba Canal buildings were torn completely down and rebuilt, brick by brick, around reinforced steel framework. OK, Jim Luckinbill, Steve and Charisse Nunnick, Troy Ellen, Joe Samsky, Niel Locke and John Parent all correctly identified the photo. Other guesses were forthcoming from Jim Valdez and Les Worthington. Now, what is the occasion of a piper on Mill Street? An additional gold star if you identify him. And I’ll take the first two to lunch at Fred’s Szechuan in Nevada City who tell me the year! Hee, hee, hee! All will be answered from bobwyckoff@sbcglobal.net or P.O. Box 216, Nevada City CA 95959. Thank You!
