Thursday Night Market in Grass Valley reduced for fair week

The Thursday Night Market in Grass Valley will be reduced in scope this week because of the Nevada County Fair.

The market will include only Mill Street this Thursday, though most of the vendors will be present, as well as all the local farmers and producers, said Grass Valley Downtown Association Executive Director Julia Jordan.

Some offerings will not be available, including street food by Christopher’s Deli and the Holbrooke Hotel, NEO and the kids zone activities. There will only be one stage this week, by the Del Oro Theatre.

“We’ll have a majority of our vendors. There’s just a handful that won’t be there,” Jordan said. “It’s just a little bit of a smaller footprint just for this week.”

Mill Street will be an open thoroughfare from Main to Neal Street, Jordan said.

“This is just for this Thursday,” she said. “The following and subsequent Thursday Night Market will have the entire footprint.”

The market runs from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and the road will be closed from 4 to 10 p.m.
