The Week Ahead: Elly Awards take stage Sunday

On Monday, be sure to hear first word from the Elly Awards, set for Sunday night in Sacramento. Of the 455 nominees for community theater productions in the Sacramento region, western Nevada County companies received 41. Those nominations were split among Community Asian Theater of the Sierra with 11, LeGacy Presents with four, Quest Theaterworks with five, Sierra Stages with 12, Synthetic Unlimited with eight and Bear River High School with one.

In all, 58 theaters and 123 productions received nominations, out of 272 shows submitted for consideration.
