Road rough but open

The broken asphalt on Allison Ranch Road has been repaired, replaced with gravel and “rough road” signs. The Nevada County Department of Transportation and Sanitation has reopened Allison Ranch Road to through traffic. The county has been monitoring the slide area daily since a landslide damaged the road causing its closure. According to county officials “very little movement has been recorded” and the roadway has stabilized. Drivers are asked to approach with reduced speeds and use caution. The county will continue to monitor the slide daily while studies are done to develop a long-term solution.
