The benefit of the season with great ‘benefits’ for attendees

Habitat’s annual Street of Dreams event is on again this year with an aim to raise enough funds to complete two more homes houses in Habitat’s Heritage Oaks 16-home project on Joyce Drive in Grass Valley.

Last year the event raised enough to complete the last homes on Ivy Street. This year, Habitat hopes to raise enough to complete construction of the second and third affordable homes in its new development. Habitat has selected families for these homes, and they will be helping out at the event. Attendance will have a direct impact on providing a better life for these hard working local families.

Attendees will enjoy culinary delights by Chef Antonio Ayestaran and there will be plenty of great auction items. Just to name a few of the many and high quality items to bid on:

• Catered dinner party/music in your home for eight with Ayestaran and the Foothills Wind Quintet

• One week in Kauai at the Marriott Beach Club at Kalapaki Beach, including airfare for two

• Plane flights in open cockpit or RV12 plane

• 49’er home game tickets and Disneyland tickets

• Great artwork by local artists

Visit the Habitat website to see a list of items.

Special entertainment will be provided by local band Grease, Grit & Grime and Friends, and opening for them will be the Lindsay Erin Project. There will be great food and desserts (including a chocolate fountain), wine and beer, plus a special Habitat signature drink with a keepsake glass.

Buy tickets online at http://www.NCHabitat.org – click on “events” or call Habitat at (530) 274-1951. Tickets are also on sale at BriarPatch and The Bookseller.
