The BAM Project ~ A Nevada County Tapestry is a membership organization for Christian Women who work with a variety of nonprofits annually to raise funds and awareness of the benefits and needs of these organizations. At the September gathering, BAM Project showcased Living Well Medical Clinic.

BAM Project’s next focus is breast cancer awareness through Paint the Town Pink. This year Paint the Town Pink has added a team competition. Those teams are tasked with raising additional funds for the annual event, which supports breast cancer care locally through Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. BAM Project is proud to be the first team to sign-up for this new competition. The winning team will be announced on stage at the Oct. 25 event.

Ten of the members of The BAM Project are on the “Team BAMMER” to raise money for Paint The Town Pink. The annual event, hosted by The Union and SNMH Foundation, showcases more than 40 vendors, a fashion show, Silent Auction, food and music to benefit advancement of breast health care in our community. It’s from 5-8:30 p.m. at The Nevada County Fairgrounds Main Building.

In support of “Team Bammer” several local businesses have collection “jars,” such as A to Z Supply, Party Time, M3 Mall and Tupperware. “Team Bammer” asks that when patronizing these businesses, take a minute and place change in the jar to support the cause.

Saturday A to Z (a BAM member), will host a bake sale put on by the ladies of BAM from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. to also support their Paint the Town Pink fundraising efforts.

The next Gathering for The BAM Project will be held on Oct. 11 at the Holbrooke Hotel. The featured nonprofit is Anew Day, and all women in business are invited to attend. Additional information will be available for Paint the Town Pink at this event as well.
