Terbolizard files candidacy papers

Part-time Cedar Ridge resident Ted Terbolizard filed his declaration for candidacy and picked up nomination papers Wednesday for the June 3 Republican primary for California’s 4th Congressional District.

Terbolizard has collected the 40 signatures from registered voters he needs to qualify to appear on the ballot, he wrote in an e-mail Wednesday.

Terbolizard, a self-described constitutionalist, made headlines recently when he was arrested for an allegedly driving while drunk.

The incident will not deter him from asking for people’s votes, and he welcomes the “publicity” the arrest brings him, he said.
