Congratulations to our Low Net winners. For September we had a tie between Barbara Law and Karen Hisken with a Low Net score of 65. Low Net for October was Dona Mahoney with a nice 64 Net score. Great golfing gals!

The Most Improved golfer for September was Barbara Law. Way to go Barb!

Membership dues letters were sent out. Checks are due November 1st and late as of November 15th. At the October Board Meeting we discussed the Hole in One fund. In the past, we have paid $1 toward this fund along with our dues. Our budget for a hole in one is $240 for each, $200 for drinks plus $40 for tips. The last couple of years, we have had multiple hole- in- ones. The rule for how we pay them was changed to pay only for those hole-in-ones that a member gets at Lake Wildwood. But with the drop in membership that we have been experiencing over the last couple of years, our fund has continued to shrink. Next year it looks like we will have 90 members or less. Our current $1 per member hole-in one fund would not be able to pay for a single hole- in- one. Therefore, the Board decided to increase the dues amount apportioned to the hole-in-one fund by $9. If you have not yet paid, please include an additional $9 for the hole in one fund. If you have already sent in your checks, please send an additional $9 to Terri Mesple.

Chris Martin informs us that 10 tables are filled for the Holiday Dance. There is still one more table left. Contact Chris if you would like to attend.

Chris Martin is looking for someone to handle Hospitality next year. She also needs someone to take care of Open Days. Please contact her if you would like to help her out.

Sandy Turzak gave the report from the Golf Committee. She reports that Bill Hamilton is Top Dressing the greens to improve the growth of the turf. The tall pine trees around Hole #3 green will be taken down to improve the sun that reaches the green to improve the growth of the grasses. There is a campaign to improve the awareness of the divots and ball marks left by players. Please remember to fix your divots in the fairways and to repair your ball marks on the greens. This will help improve the conditions that we all play under.

The final round of Team Play was held at Plumas Lakes. Although our teams throughout the year have played their hearts out, Lake Wildwood ended the year in last place overall. Thank you to those that participated and gave it your all.

At our luncheon on October 22nd, we voted to accept the 2016 slate of officers. All positions were uncontested and with a majority of members attending the luncheon we were able to affirm by acclamation the new Board by show of hands. Please welcome and congratulate our 2016 slate of officers: Captain-Chris Martin; Co-Captain-Marilyn Baca; Treasurer-Terri Mesple; Secretary- Laura Marenco; Rules-Karen Price; Tournament-Dottie Teague; Handicap-Connie Berg; Membership-Kerri Julian.

Dottie Teague reports that the Fire Pit fund for the new Clubhouse is within $2000 of fully funded! Thank you to all that have already contributed! Contact Dottie if you would like to help out.

On October 22nd we played the Witches Ball. If it was your hole to be the witch, we had to use either your gross or net score or both along with the next lowest gross or net ball. So the team score was a total of one low net and one low gross score. The top “Witches” were:
