Suspicious vehicle leads to Auburn-area arrests

The Sacramento Bee reports that two people were arrested in the North Auburn area after a Placer County sheriff’s deputy spotted them in a parked vehicle on a street behind a Home Depot store.

The deputy noticed the vehicle with its headlights off about 10:30 p.m. Thursday. When the driver spotted the patrol car, he pulled into the store’s parking lot, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

Sheriff’s officials identified the vehicle’s occupants as Sean A. Christensen, 36, who indicated he was a transient, and Holly Jean Webster, 22, of Martinez. Neither had identification, but a records check found that both are on probation, sheriff’s officials said. Christensen’s probation prohibits him from going near any Home Deport stores, and Webster’s requires that she stay away from certain Target and Walmart stores in Contra Costa County.

Christensen also had $120,000 in outstanding warrants from other counties.

A search of the vehicle turned up two key rings full of shaved keys, which are commonly used to steal cars and enter buildings, sheriff’s officials said. In the trunk, deputies found new power tools in unopened boxes. They were booked as evidence to determine whether they were stolen.
