Supes to talk Obamacare

Obamacare has been in the news lately — and the Nevada County Board of Supervisors will discuss how the federally legislated healthcare program will be implemented at the county level Tuesday.

Nicole Pollack, Nevada County director of Social Services, will give a presentation on how key components of the Affordable Care Act will be implemented by the county government.

“Two of the largest components of the Affordable Care Act are the expansion of Medicaid (Medi-Cal in California) and the provision of health insurance through the state’s health care marketplace,” Pollack wrote in a staff report.
