Suddenlink recognizes Auburn employee as ‘Hero’

Suddenlink Communications, which offers cable broadband and telecommunications in southern Nevada County, has recognized customer care representative Alisha Starr with a prestigious Customer Service Hero Award.

In nominating Starr for this award, her colleagues noted the consistent, customer-first attitude she brings to her daily work. They also shared unique details to support why they believed Starr should be considered a “Hero.”

When the Auburn office was left without a dispatcher due to a medical leave, Starr took over the position while maintaining her usual responsibilities.

“Alisha handled both jobs with a positive attitude and continued to provide excellent customer service,” said a nominator.

“We were thrilled with how quickly Alisha learned this new responsibility,” said another nominator. “She is someone we can count on to take on any challenge.”

In a company with more than 5,100 employees nationwide, Starr was one of 13 to receive this award. The award is based on nominations submitted by colleagues.

Suddenlink Communications is the seventh-largest cable operator in the United States, supporting about 1.3 million residential customers and thousands of commercial customers in California and other states. Visit for more information.
