Spoken word and sculpture at ‘Signs of Our Time’

Richard Gill, sculptor, poet and performer will present “Signs of Our Time” at the Copper Top’s poetry evening.

Gill weaves a poetic narrative in and around his fine art sculpture placed on stage. The performance spotlights a nearly life-sized image of a modern day warrior entitled “Victory.”

Gill created “Signs of Our Time” as an artistic statement to focus on some of the concerns of this time in our world, such as the homeless, the Golden Years, victory and hope. Gill transports his audience from the chaos of our time to the hope of the future.

Signs of Our Times provide the questions. The sculpture depicts the image and the audience provide the answers.

Gill is a fine art sculptor whose works appear in private and public collections the world over. He is a published poet who has performed throughout America, recently concluding a tour of his one-man show, “The Medicine Man.”

Immediately following ” Signs of Our Time” there will be open mic for all poets wishing to share their work.
