South Yuba River meeting Tuesday

The 23rd public meeting to write a comprehensive plan for public lands along the 39-mile stretch of the South Yuba River ,Spaulding Reservoir to Lake Englebright, will be 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, the L.O.V.E. Building, 660 Minnie St., Condon Park in Grass Valley.

The topic will be recreation in Planning Unit 1, the area from Point Defiance to the Army Corps of Engineers’ eastern boundary. The principal recreation facilities are at Bridgeport. Under the recreation category, there will be a discussion on the existing condition and on developing management actions, beginning with the following: nature appreciation, off-road vehicles, fishing, hunting and shooting, commercial activities, organized events, special uses, maintenance, sanitation, trash, facilities like parking, restrooms, the Visitor Center, Nature Center and fees.
