Sneak preview of documentary ‘A Creek Runs Through It’ Oct. 23

The Wolf Creek Community Alliance is pleased to present a sneak preview screening of the new documentary “A Creek Runs Through It,” telling the ongoing story of the Wolf Creek Parkway. This film is a collaboration between Nevada City film-maker Terra Nyssa and Bruce Herring, the Wolf Creek Community Alliance Parkway Steward.

Following the film, both Nyssa and Herring will be on hand to answer questions about their film and the Parkway project. Other alliance members will share short overviews of additional Wolf Creek-related projects.

Refreshments will be provided. A donation of $5 is suggested.

The Wolf Creek Watershed is a dynamic landscape covering approximately 50,000 acres and encompassing the City of Grass Valley as well as rural-agricultural land and forest. Stream and river corridors are critical, and these will become increasingly important as climate-impacts intensify and fragmented ecosystems try to adapt.

This presentation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 246 South Church St., Grass Valley (in the heart of Wolf Creek Watershed).
