Smooth start to paving project

Andy Sandine of Don Cunningham Construction in Grass Valley puts the finishing touches Monday on a section of a new sidewalk on Bridge Street in Nevada City. Once the sidewalk is finished, Nevada City plans to repave Bridge Street on Friday as part of this summer’s Measure S paving program. On Monday, crews from Teichert Construction in Roseville repaved Nevada,

Nihell and Court streets and Old Washington Road. Today, crews plan to work on Union, Church and Alexander streets. City officials say to expect street closures while the repaving work is done.
