Ski crash victim in fair condition

A 70-year-old Lake of the Pines man, injured while water-skiing in the lake Sunday, was in fair condition Tuesday evening at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

Bob Koenitzer was water-skiing at about 9 a.m. when he fell into the water. He was pulled back onto the boat and taken to shore, where he was flown by helicopter to the Roseville hospital with back and neck injuries, according to the Higgins Area Fire Protection District.
