Sierra Writers hearing author

Will Baker will speak at the Sierra Writers’ meeting Wednesday at the Nevada County Library in Nevada City.

Baker is a nonfiction writer, novelist and author of several articles.



His nonfiction books include “Backward: An Essay on Indians, Time and Photography,” “Mountain Blood” and “Tony and the Cows.”




Fiction titles include “Track of the Giant,” “Shadow Hunter” and “Raven Bride.”

Articles are on topics such as logging, game poachers and hunting in the Peruvian Amazon.

Baker also operates a small farm and teaches writing at the University of California at Davis.

The free 6:30 p.m. meeting is open to the public at 980 Helling Way in Nevada City.
