Sierra roadwork slated for this week

SIERRA ROAD WORK SCHEDULE (Dec. 2-7)

Long-term projects



Interstate 80 (Placer and Nevada Counties) from Carpenter Flat to Hampshire Rock: Work continues on the $105 million Emigrant Gap project on Interstate 80. Work includes roadway replacement with Portland Cement Concrete, improving drainage systems and installing new sediment/debris collection systems.

Interstate 80 (Placer and Nevada County) from Cisco Grove to Yuba Gap: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures and ramp closures at the junction of State Route 20 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday.




Short-term projects

State Route 49 (Placer County) from Bell Road to the Nevada County line: Southbound motorists can expect the #2 lane closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.

State Route 174 (Placer County) from Interstate 80 in Colfax to the Nevada County line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.

State Route 174 (Nevada County) from Auburn Street to Park Street in Grass Valley: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday.
