LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Brace Road to Magra Road: Work continues on a $36 million project to increase the vertical clearance of nine bridge structures in south Placer County to 16 feet, 6 inches. The vertical clearance will be increased on seven structures by lifting the existing bridge deck and the other two will have the roadway below dug down. Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Sierra College Boulevard to Newcastle Road: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures and on-ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday for bridge work. Motorists also can expect one-way traffic control from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday on the Brace, Gilardi, Horseshoe Bar, King, Penryn and Magra overcrossings for bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the New England Mills overcrossing to the Weimar Cross Road overcrossing: Motorists can expect alternating westbound ramps, median, lane and shoulder closures from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday to Friday for bridge work.




State Route 89 (Placer/Nevada County) at the Union Pacific Railroad undercrossing south of Interstate 80: Nicknamed the “Mousehole” project, work continues to construct a pedestrian and bicycle tunnel under the Union Pacific Railroad adjacent to the existing SR 89 undercrossing and construct a Class I paved trail along the east side of SR 89 between Deerfield Drive and West River Street.

State Route 89 (Placer/Nevada County) from West River Street to Deerfield Drive: Motorists can expect one way traffic controls through the tunnel and right shoulder closures from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for miscellaneous work.

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from the Yuba Gap to the Donner Lake Undercrossing: Motorists can expect alternating lane, left and right shoulder closures from Monday to Thursday for drainage work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the Bowman Road undercrossing to the Haines Road (Bell Road) overcrossing: Motorists can expect overnight lane and shoulder restrictions from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through 9 a.m. Wednesday for striping operations.

Interstate 80 — Eastbound (Placer County) at the Crystal Springs Road overcrossing: Motorists can expect partial ramp and right shoulder closure from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday 2 for drainage work.

Interstate 80 — Westbound (Placer County) from the Hinton Road undercrossing to the Floriston eastbound off-ramp: Motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for crack seal operation.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from westbound Dorsey Drive to the Idaho Maryland Road undercrossing: Motorists can expect right and auxiliary lane closures 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday for tree work.

State Route 20 — Westbound (Nevada County) at the Gold Flat Road off ramp: Motorists can expect full ramp closure from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for tree work.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) from Rio Oso Road to West Broad Street: Motorists can expect alternating lane, auxiliary lane, median and shoulder closures as well as moving closures from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Sunday Oct. 4 for pavement work and striping operations.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) at the junction of State Route 49 and State Route 20 (West Empire Street): Motorists can expect connector ramp closures from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Sunday Oct. 4 for pavement and striping work.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) Northbound and Southbound McKnight Way: Motorists can expect connector ramp closures from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Sunday Oct. 4 for pavement work.

State Route 49 (Placer County) at Luther Road: Motorists can expect alternating cross street traffic controls including the southbound turn lane to Luther Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday to Friday for sewer work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from Lemon Canyon/Campbell Hot Springs to Filippini Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic operations from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday for drainage work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from Oak Valley (Yuba/Sierra County line) to Yuba Pass: Motorists can expect intermittent one way traffic controls from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday for miscellaneous work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from the Sierra City Landfill to the Plumas County line: Motorists can expect one way traffic controls from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday for shoulder work.

State Route 89 (Sierra County) from Perry Creek (Sierraville) to Berry Creek (Sierra/Plumas county line): Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday for drainage work.

State Route 89 (Nevada County) from Prosser Dam Road to Sage Hen Road: Motorists can expect one way traffic controls from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through 2 p.m. Friday for AC paving work.
