Sierra roadwork schedule Sept. 1-6

The following roadwork is scheduled for Sept. 1-6 by the California Department of Transportation:

LONG-TERM PROJECTS



Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Brace Road to Magra: Work is set to begin on the $36 million project to increase the vertical clearance for nine structures in south Placer County. The vertical clearance will be increase on six structures by lifting the existing bridge deck and the other three will have the roadway below dug to a lower level.

Aug. 1-Oct. 31




Interstate 80 (Placer County) at Rollins Lake Road/Magra Road (Exit 139): Westbound motorists can expect a long-term closure of the on and off-ramps from August 1 through October 31. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous structure work. Motorists are advised to Secret Town interchange as the alternate route.

Sept. 1-4

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at Magra Road: Motorists can expect the east and westbound #1 lanes closed from 7 p.m.-9 a.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous structure work.

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from Nevada Street to White Cloud Campground: Motorists can expect intermittent one-way traffic controls from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do tree work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from Yuba Pass Campground to State Route 89: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to clean ditches.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from Slate Range Road to Gold Lake Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 7 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) from W. Broad Street to Old Downieville Highway: Motorists can expect various lane closures from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do tree work.

State Route 49 (Placer County) from Elm-Harrison Street to Joeger Road: Motorists can expect various north and southbound lanes closed from 9 p.m.-6 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do paving work.

State Route 49 (Placer County) from Lincoln Way to the El Dorado County line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do concrete work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Fiberboard undercrossing to the Truckee Scales: Motorists can expect the eastbound #1 lanes closed from 8 p.m.-7 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from end of Chain on area to the Hinton Road undercrossing: Motorists can expect the eastbound #1 lane closed from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Floriston to Hinton: Motorists can expect the east and westbound #1 lanes closed from 7 p.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do grinding operations.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at Soda Springs: Motorists can expect the east and westbound #1 lanes closed from midnight Tuesday through 8 a.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Placer and Nevada Counties) from Kingvale to Yuba Gap: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lanes closed from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A Caltrans Crew is scheduled to do drainage work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Weimar Cross Road to Placer Hills Road: Motorists can expect the east and westbound #1 lanes closed from 7 p.m.-9 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Elm Avenue to Russell Road: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lanes closed from 7 p.m.-9 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

State Route 89 (Sierra County) from Calpine Summit to the Plumas County line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do drainage work.

State Route 193 (Placer County) at the Newcastle tunnel: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do concrete work.

State Route 267 (Nevada County) from Interstate 80 to Soaring Way/Brockway Road: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lanes closed from 8 p.m.-8 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.
