Sierra roadwork schedule: March 23-28, 2015
Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Brace Road to Magra Road: Work continues on a $36 million project to increase the vertical clearance of nine bridge structures in south Placer County to 16 feet, 6 inches. The vertical clearance will be increased on six structures by lifting the existing bridge deck and the other three will have the roadway below dug down. Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Sierra College Boulevard to Newcastle Road: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures and on-ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday for bridge work. Officials advised that motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday on the Brace, Gilardi, Horseshoe Bar, King, Penryn and Magra overcrossings for bridge work.
State Route 89 (Nevada County) at the UPRR undercrossing in Truckee: A public advisory disclosed that motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for shoulder and utility work.
State Route 49 (Yuba and Sierra counties) between Marysville Road in Auburn to Downieville: Motorists are advised that they can expect lane closures at various times and locations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for miscellaneous work.
Interstate 80 – Eastbound (Nevada/Placer County) from the Kingvale Undercrossing to the Yuba Gap Overcrossing: Motorists can expect lane closures at various locations from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for guardrail repair.
Interstate 80 – Westbound (Nevada/Placer Counties) from the Donner Lake Road interchange to the Kingvale Undercrossing: Motorists can expect lane closures at various locations from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for guardrail repair.
Interstate 80 – Westbound (Placer County) from the Secret Town overcrossing to Colfax: Motorists can expect CHP escort through closed #2 lane from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 for guardrail repair.
Interstate 80 – Westbound (Sierra County) from the Nevada state line to the Nevada County line: Motorists can expect lane restrictions from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. March 23-24 for guardrail repair.
State Route 89 (Sierra County) from Cottonwood Road to Forestry Road: Motorists can expect lane closures from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for crack seal repair.
State Route 267 (Nevada County) from Brockway Road to junction of 80, 267 and 89 in Truckee: Motorists can expect lane restrictions from 8:00 p.m. Saturday March 21 to 8:00 a.m. Sunday March 22 for bridge work.
