Sierra roadwork schedule: July 21-16

LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Brace Road to Magra: Work is set to begin on the $36 million project to increase the vertical clearance for nine structures in south Placer County.

The vertical clearance will be increased on six structures by lifting the existing bridge deck and the other three will have the roadway below dug down to a lower level.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at Penryn Road: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do striping work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at the Magra Overcrossing: Motorists can expect the east and westbound #2 lanes closed from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do striping work.

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from Brunswick Road to Idaho-Maryland Road: Motorists can expect the westbound No. 2 lane closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through Saturday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

State Route 49 (Yuba and Sierra Counties) from Marysville Road to Union Flat Campground: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 7:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to perform miscellaneous maintenance work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Fiberboard undercrossing to the Truckee Scales: Motorists can expect the No. 1 lanes to be closed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday. A contactor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at Soda Springs: Motorists can expect the No. 1 lanes closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from South Yuba River to Kingvale: Westbound motorists can expect various lane closures from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do drainage maintenance.

Interstate 80 (Nevada and Placer Counties) from Kingvale to Yuba Gap: East and westbound motorists can expect various lane closures from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do drainage maintenance.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the junction with State Route 193 to Gold Run: Eastbound motorists can expect the No. 3 lane closed at various locations from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do maintenance.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Applegate to Heather Glen: Westbound motorists can expect various lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do bridge maintenance.

State Route 89 (Placer County) from Goose Meadows Campground to Silver Creek Campground: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do drainage work.

State Route 267 (Nevada County) from Interstate 80 to Brockway Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.
