LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Brace Road to Magra Road: Work continues on a $36 million project to increase the vertical clearance of nine bridge structures in south Placer County to 16 feet, 6 inches. The vertical clearance will be increased on six structures by lifting the existing bridge deck and the other three will have the roadway below dug down. More information at http://www.raise80.com

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Sierra College Boulevard to Newcastle Road: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures and on-ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday for bridge work. Motorists also can expect one-way traffic control from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday on the Brace, Gilardi, Horseshoe Bar, King, Penryn and Magra overcrossings for bridge work.



State Route 89 (Nevada County) at the Union Pacific Railroad undercrossing south of Interstate 80: Ground-breaking on April 2 to officially begin project to construct a pedestrian and bicycle tunnel under the Union Pacific Railroad adjacent to the existing SR 89 undercrossing and construct a Class I paved trail along the east side of SR 89 between Deerfield Drive and West River Street.

State Route 89 Northbound (Nevada County) West River Street to Deerfield Drive: Motorists can expect right shoulder and auxiliary lane closure from 6 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Friday for striping and excavation operations.




SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80 – Eastbound (Nevada/Placer counties) from the Kingvale Undercrossing to the Yuba Gap Overcrossing: Motorists can expect lane closures at various locations from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for guardrail repair.

Interstate 80 – Westbound (Nevada/Placer counties) from the Donner Lake Road interchange to the Kingvale Undercrossing: Motorists can expect lane closures at various locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday for guardrail repair.

Interstate 80 – Westbound (Placer counties) from the Interstate 80/State Route 193 interchange to the Hallbom Road undercrossing (Werner Road): Motorists can expect lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday for bridge work.

Interstate 80 – Eastbound (Placer County) from State Route 174/Interstate 80 separator to the Secret Town overcrossing: Expect lane closures and shoulder restrictions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, April 13 and Wednesday, April 15 for survey work.

State Route 49 (Yuba and Sierra counties) between Marysville Road in Auburn to Downieville: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls at various times and locations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for maintenance work.

State Route 89 (Sierra County) between Old Truckee Road South and State Route 49 in Sierraville: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls at various times from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for crack seal operations.
