SIERRA ROADWORK SCHEDULE

Roadwork slated for the Sierra in the week of Nov. 25-30. Most traffic interfering work will be limited Wednesday through Sunday due to the Thanksgiving holiday.



LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80 (Placer and Nevada Counties) from Carpenter Flat to Hampshire Rock: Work continues on the $105 million Emigrant Gap project on Interstate 80. Work includes total roadway replacement with Portland Cement Concrete, improving the drainage systems and installing new sediment/debris collection systems. Completion is expected in November of 2013.




Nov. 24 – Nov. 26

Interstate 80 (Placer and Nevada County) from Cisco Grove to Yuba Gap: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 10 p.m. Sunday through 6 p.m. Tuesday. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 49 (El Dorado and Placer Counties) from State Route 193 in Cool to the Bear River Bridge: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.

State Route 49 (Placer and Nevada Counties) from Elm Avenue to Combie Road/Wolfe Road: Motorists can expect various lane and shoulder restrictions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Tuesday. A contractor is scheduled to do utility work.

State Route 49 (Yuba and Sierra Counties) from the Yuba Pass Summit to Marysville Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at the Kingvale to the Donner lake interchange: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lanes closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from State Route 193 to Gold Run: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at the Bowman undercrossing: Motorists can expect intermittent full highway closure from 5:45 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. Sunday. A contractor is scheduled to do utility work. Delays are not expected to exceed 15 minutes.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Ophir Road to Foresthill: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Tuesday. A contractor is scheduled to do sign work.

State Route 174 (Placer County) from Interstate 80 to the Nevada County line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous work.

State Route 193 (Placer County) from Interstate 80 to the Newcastle Tunnel: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. A contractor is expected to do utility work.
