Senior Firewood Program needs volunteers this weekend

Firewood program needs volunteers

Gold Country Community Services needs volunteers for its Senior Firewood Program, an annual event that’s scheduled for this coming weekend.

People who can load vehicles with firewood as well as delivery drivers are needed. Volunteers should contact Nicole Grimes at 530-615-4541 for more information.

“We do depend on the community’s help with these events,” she said.

Volunteers who will load the firewood are needed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Between 10 to 15 people are needed.

Delivery drivers, who must bring their own vehicle, are needed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The program needs several drivers.

The firewood program will use the old Bohemia Mill site, 12503 Brunswick Road, Grass Valley. Signs will direct volunteers to the site.
