Scotch Broom Challenge set for Sunday at Nevada County Airport

A Scotch Broom Challenge will take place at the Nevada County Airport 9 a.m. to noon Sunday. Volunteers are needed to help remove Scotch Broom weeds from the airport area.

Sign-in will be at the terminal at 9 a.m., when a short briefing will be offered about the project. The Fire Safe Council will provide tools and safety kits.

Please bring work gloves if you have them. Extra tools like shovels, hoes and pruning shears will also be welcomed.
