Sample ballots mailed

Sample ballot booklets containing information about candidates and measures on the Nov. 5 ballot were mailed to registered Nevada County voters Monday and Tuesday, Nevada County Clerk Recorder Lorraine Jewett-Burdick said.

Most voters should receive their sample ballots no later than Friday. People who are registered to vote and do not receive a booklet should call the Elections Office at 265-1298, or 1-888 395-1298 from Lake of the Pines and Truckee, Jewett-Burdick said.

Residents who aren’t registered to vote or who have changed their addresses or names must complete a new voter registration card no later than Monday to vote in the general election. Voter registration cards are at all post offices and government offices.

Another mailing of sample ballot booklets is scheduled after Monday.
