Road work to cause delays

Motorists can expect over 50 county roads to have delays of up to 30 minutes because of annual chip sealing Wednesday and Thursday.

It is the first stage of the Department of Public Works Road Maintenance Division’s annual chip seal program that consists of fog sealing and road oiling.

A speed limit of 5 miles per hour will be posted prior to and during the oiling process.



On Wednesday, July 30, the following roads will be fog sealed: Butterfly Drive, Mayflower Drive, Woodpecker Way, Woodpecker Place, Forest View Drive, Tree Top Circle, Sunny Slope Road, North View Drive, Gold Hill Drive, Footwall Drive, Silver Way, Copper Drive, Hanging Wall Drive, Mercury Drive, Partridge Road, Gayle Lane, Boreham Lane, Thomas Drive, James Lane, Fern Lane, Cresent Drive, Black Oak Drive, Valley View Drive, Winding Way, Old Tunnel Road, Town Talk Road, Terrace Pines Court, Pine Hill Drive, Bartlett Drive, Nancy Drive, Sunrise Lane, East Empire Street and Empire Mine Cross Road.

On Thursday, July 31, the following roads will be fog sealed: Cameo Drive, Cerrito Road, Daniels Way, Carriage Road, Maben Road, Cherry Creek Road, Oak Drive, Streeter Road, Gautier Road, Oakhurst Drive, Mother Lode Road, Vintage Drive, Harvest Way, Autumn Way, Little Valley Road, Pingree Road, Cherokee Street, Robinson Road, Sweetland Road, Ridgeview Woodlands, Ponderosa/Hass Court and Pleasant Valley Road.
