Grass Valley

— Hansen Bros. will place an overlay on Butler and Fawcett streets, which will be closed to all but local traffic. Watch for traffic signs and flag persons.

— Work will continue on the installation of underground dry utilities on Mill Street. Due to various construction activities on Mill Street, this area will be closed to all trucks from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays until further notice. Watch for detours and pay attention to all road signs and flag persons.



— Construction continues on South Auburn Street from East McKnight Way to the intersection of Whiting Street on the South Auburn Street Improvement Project. Placement of a 24-inch storm drain and work on frontage improvements will start at the culvert at Little Wolf Creek, north toward the Whiting Street intersection. It may be necessary to close South Auburn Street to through traffic at times. All businesses will be open and access will be maintained. For construction signs and proceed with caution through the work areas. Crews will be onsite from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.




Today – Thursday

— On Interstate 80 from Gold Run to Nyack: Expect various lane closures and delays of five to 10 minutes on east and westbound lanes between Gold Run and Nyack from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

— On Interstate 80 in Truckee: Expect various lane closures and delays of up to five minutes on east and westbound lanes from the Highway 89 (south) offramp to west of Donner Lake from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Caltrans crews are doing routine maintenance.

Today – Friday

— On Interstate 80 east of Truckee: Motorists can expect various lane closures affecting east and westbound lanes from east of the central Truckee interchange to the Floriston Bridge from 10 p.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. Friday. Multiple work areas may cause cumulative delays of up to 30 minutes.
