— Grass Valley: Road work is expected to continue next week on South Auburn Street between Whiting Street and McKnight Way. Crews will be on site from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the street may be closed to through traffic at times during the day. Two projects are scheduled to begin in August. One is the repaving of West Main, High, Walsh, Butler, Fawcett and Chapel streets; Lidster Avenue; the McKnight Way overcrossing; and the South Church Street and City Hall parking lots. The other project is the undergrounding of utilities on Mill Street between French Avenue and Neal Street. For more information, call 274-4350.
— Grass Valley: A portion of South Auburn Street from East McKnight Way to Whiting Street will be closed to through traffic starting Monday while work crews install a new culvert. The pipe is being installed at the creek crossing between 720 and 740 South Auburn St. Traffic in that area will be restricted 24 hours a day until the work is completed. Crews will be on site from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the project could take as long as a week. Businesses will be open, and drivers will have access during work hours. .
— Brunswick Road from Plaza Drive to Brunswick East: There will be resurfacing and other work at night through Aug. 9. Motorists are advised to expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
— On Interstate 80 Gold Run: Expect various lane closures and delays of five to 10 minutes on east and westbound lanes between Alta and Nyack from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
— On Interstate 80 on the Donner Summit: Expect the right lane closed and delays of up to five minutes on westbound lanes from Donner Lake to the Donner Summit Rest Area from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
— On Interstate 80 east of Truckee: Expect various lane closures affecting east and westbound lanes from east of the Central Truckee interchange to the Floriston Bridge from 10 p.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. this morning. Expect around-the-clock delays of up to 30 minutes.
