Eugene and Sintao Heung, owners of Bonanza Market on Broad Street, were recognized Saturday as the 2002 Nevada City business people of the year with an award presented jointly by the Nevada City Rotary Club and Nevada City Chamber of Commerce.

Pearce Boyer (above right), president of the Rotary Club, gave the award to the Heungs at the Chamber’s 101st annual installation and awards dinner at the Miners Foundry. The Heungs have owned and operated Bonanza Market since 1972.
