Re: ‘Find a better message’ by J. Crouch

I just read the letter “Find A Better Message” by J. Crouch of Penn Valley. Did Crouch think that consuming something once used to get high with and immediately hopping behind the wheel was an act of responsibility? Crouch should also consider that his subjective opinion may be clouded by the fact that 1) Crouch is older with different metabolism, and 2) there are stronger varieties now than the old stuff remembered.

If you’re used to drinking beer to get a buzz, then someone says “try this whiskey,” do you think it’s fair to say that alcohol should be banned, because it’s gotten stronger? Perhaps Crouch should learn to take the right dosage. Take one puff, then wait 15 minutes. It’s also the case that some cultivars have different effects than others.

Incoherent arguments based on irresponsible experiences do not add to the debate about medicinal cannabis, nor to the debate about the proper legal status of cannabis.
