Ranger than fiction

Nevada County author Jordan Fisher Smith discusses his new book, “Nature Noir,” in front of a packed audience Thursday night at Odyssey Books in Grass Valley. He chose to read a passage related to the disappearance of Janet Kovacich, the Auburn woman who disappeared in 1982. The search for Kovacich resumed this week. Smith’s book about his time as a park ranger has received national acclaim from critics.
