Rain possible through early part of weekend

Rain is now possible through Saturday afternoon for Nevada County as a larger series of wetter and warmer storms cross the Sierra.

The chances for rain today and Thursday will vary between 20 and 40 percent, but will still be possible in foothill pockets as the systems pass through, according to the National Weather Service in Sacramento.

More rain is likely Friday and Friday night with another chance for showers on Saturday. Skies are expected to clear Saturday night and remain that way through Monday.

Highs are expected to be in the low to mid-50s through Saturday, with night lows in the mid-40s.

Highs are predicted to reach the mid-60s Sunday and Monday, with lows in the lower 40s.

No snow warnings have been issued and only a small amount is expected at 6,500 feet and above as the systems move through.
