Pup with eye problem gets help

A stray dog suffering from a severe eye infection has been turned over to Sammie’s Friends, where it will recover from recent surgery.

Sammie’s Friends is seeking help in funding the recovery.

Cruiser was found on an area property “with the worst eye infection I have ever seen,” said Cheryl Wick of Sammie’s Friends. “The veterinarian wasn’t even sure there was an eye inside the socket.

“There was an abscess inside the eye socket; the infection would have killed him sooner or later. He had surgery and is doing much better. The vet even thinks there is some possibility the sight can be restored.”

If you would like to make a donation to help Cruiser, please send a check to Sammie’s Friends, 128 High Street, Grass Valley 95945 or check the Web site http://www.sammiesfriends.org and use Paypal to make a donation.
