Probation search near Nevada City ends in 6 arrests
Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies arrested six people at the same house just outside Nevada City while conducting a probation search Tuesday night.
It was not the first time a sweep of the residence on Pine View Heights had ended in multiple arrests, according to The Union archives; nine people were arrested there in July 2011.
Deputies arrived at the house in the 10000 block at about 9 p.m. Tuesday to conduct a probation search on the tenant, Walter James Henderson, said Sheriff Keith Royal.
“The last time they were there, they had to kick the door,” Royal said, adding that Henderson responded quickly this time.
Henderson “decided to be honest and admitted to being under the influence,” Royal said. “He also admitted to having a syringe secreted in his crotch.”
Henderson, 57, was booked into county jail on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and violating his post-release community supervision. He was being held without bail.
Deputies allegedly located Doug Wayne Richards, 44, hiding in a closet. He was arrested on a no-bail warrant and is being held in county jail.
Jerome Kremer, 45, and Kimberli Dawn Kremer, 50, allegedly were located in the garage. Jerome Kremer was arrested on suspicion of violating parole and was being held without bail. Kimberli Kremer allegedly was under the influence and was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was booked and released on $12,000 bail.
Deputies found a man identified as Christian Alexander Ponce, 19, sitting on a couch in the residence. On searching Ponce, they allegedly located a syringe in his pocket.
He was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance, and was released on $2,000 bail.
A woman identified as Sandra Lynn Nickens, 38, was “clearly under the influence,” Royal said.
She was booked on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bail.
