Posh Nosh eviction empties another downtown restaurant

Workers were cleaning up and pulling out aging floorboards this week where Posh Nosh once stood – the Broad Street storefront will be a restaurant no more, building owner Don Schmitz said.

A sheriff’s notice evicting tenant Chester Cusimano, dated Oct. 20, is posted on the window.

Posh Nosh had operated for about 20 years, with Cusimano at the helm since 2008. The restaurant was known for its mid-priced American cuisine and patio with live music.

Schmitz, 83, said he’s considering turning the space into an antique store, but nothing is certain.

After owning it for 40 years, the building “is like my family,” he said.
