Police blotter: Woman yelling profanities, quoting Shakespeare

Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

1:58 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of East Main Street reported a man had been assaulted with a huge skateboard. A man was arrested on suspicion of assault and violating probation.



3:08 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Fawcett Street reported the theft of multiple firearms from a residence; they were all described as old weapons and included several Winchester rifles with scopes.

3:12 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man refusing to leave.




3:35 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a woman screaming profanities. Another caller reported the woman had been evicted and was yelling she was going to blow everyone up. A third caller reported the woman was on meth and refusing to leave. She was counseled and agreed to move on.

5:33 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Race Street reported a man and a woman entering an unoccupied residence with bolt cutters, and taking a lawn mower before leaving on foot.

5:47 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of East Main Street reported a man with black face paint threatening people. He was arrested on suspicion of violating probation, disturbing the peace,, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

8:17 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a woman stole phone accessories and was locked in the restroom. She was gone when an officer arrived.

8:42 p.m. — A woman from the 900 block of Sutton Way reported suspicious devices in her hotel room. She had removed and broken the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and had removed the thermometer from the heater due to concerns she was being watched. She appeared paranoid but declined transport for a mental health evaluation. She agreed to pay for the damaged items.

8:10 a.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Hydraulic Way reported a woman was abusing an elderly disabled woman. She was arrested on suspicion of elder abuse.

11:13 a.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Ocelot Drive reported a woman yelling, screaming profanities and quoting Shakespeare.

12:27 p.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Meyer Road reported promiscuous shooting and loud cheering; it was quiet when a deputy arrived.

1:07 p.m. — A caller from Squirrel Creek Road and Walker Drive reported two men and a woman took a cab and refused to pay the fare; they were described as dressed like hippies in ratty clothes.

1:17 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Personeni Lane reported the theft of mail from three mailboxes.

1:49 p.m. — A caller from Darlene Court reported a physical fight involving a man and a woman. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

2:27 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Oracle Drive reported identity theft and stolen property.

3:20 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Francis Drive reported two men started punching another man; no charges were desired.

6:50 p.m. — A caller from the 25000 block of Oro Valley Road reported a man in a truck hitting a woman; they could not be located.

7:02 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Boulder Street reported a man pulled a knife; he had been cooking.

8:48 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported people jumping the fence.

8:53 p.m. — A caller reported a boy broke a glass door during a fight over a remote control.

10:23 p.m. — A caller from Wolf Mountain reported finding a large amount of mail at the round house.

3:23 a.m. — A BOLO was issued for a white Ford F250 stolen from the Higgins fire station.

6:39 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Valley Oak Court reported a theft from a vehicle.

1:55 p.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported a theater cast member refusing to leave, threatening staff.

3:30 p.m. — A caller from Seven Hills School reported a man in a van touching himself. The man reportedly had his pants down around his ankles.

5:29 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported three men pushing each other.

7:44 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Commercial Street reported being able to provide telepathic information and a piece of equipment that controls people in Nevada County; the equipment had stopped working correctly.

10:30 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Uren Street reported a person with a fire.

2:05 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported the theft of a purse from a vehicle.

Sunday

12:44 p.m. — A caller from Commercial and North Pine streets reported an man was out of control and yelling at people.

1:50 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported two men in a physical fight. A man was arrested on suspicion of battery.

9:46 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Railroad Avenue reported a man refusing to leave who was locked in a bathroom; he was gone when an officer arrived.

10:54 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Spring Street reported drunken men making disgusting comments and being loud. A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and violating probation.
